Statements about Digital Foundry's next PlayStation hardware give even more hope for a handheld

There is new information about the possible new handheld from PlayStation.

Since last week, the existence of a new PlayStation handheld has been confirmed by a report from Bloomberg -– has become a whole lot more likely. In summary, Sony is said to be working on a competing product to the Switch that plays PS5 games and is in the early stages of development.

The Bloomberg report is now given new weight thanks to current statements from the tech experts at Digital Foundry.

This is what Digital Foundry says about the PlayStatiom handheld

In the weeklyYouTube-PodcastFirst and foremost, John Linneman spoke out about the rumors about a new PlayStation handheld. He says:

The interesting thing is that we heard about this handheld from some sources a few months ago. While we're not in the business of leaking things, it's interesting that this is finally making the rounds because it kind of confirms what we've been unofficially seeing and hearing about this device's existence, which is cool.

Linneman goes on to say that the Bloomberg report confirms his belief that Sony is actually currently working on a new handheld and that it is actually a lot more advanced in development than he initially assumed.

(...) I think there may be something like prototypes out there. There are still a lot of questions, but it feels like this future with a handheld and a home console option is very likely.
