Release: When does Intergalactic come out?

Officially, Naughty Dog still hasno date or time frame for releaseannounced by Intergalactic.

The first indications of the new project were already given in 2018. Like Creative Director Neil Druckmann now inan interviewrevealed that more than 250 Naughty Dog employees have worked on the game since 2020. The developer has been working on Intergalactic for a while, but is still keeping a low profile about the release.

However, some fans believe they have discovered a possible clue in the first trailer. Here, the main character Jordan enters the number sequence 7202 at the end. If you turn these numbers around, the result is 2027, which would be a possible release year. However, this is contradicted by statements from studio head Neil Druckmann that they do not want to announce release dates early.

Which platforms does Intergalactic come for?

Story: What is Intergalactic about?

Intergalactic is set in an alternate timeline of our reality where space travel was already well advanced in the 1980s. Accordingly, the game has a retro-futuristic look and is also inspired by anime classics such as Cowboy Bebop and Akira.

We slip into the Adidas shoes of bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun, played by Tati Gabrielle. She is looking for the members of the crime syndicate "Five Aces", with whom she apparently has a common past. While pursuing a bounty, she ends up stranded on the planet Sempiria, from which no one has escaped in 600 years.

Not much more is known about the plot and characters. But Neil Druckmann has oneInterviewalso teased that the plot will revolve around a fictional religion and what happens when "you put your faith into different institutions."

Gameplay: How does Intergalactic play?

So far there has been no real gameplay for Intergalactic. But as Druckmann announced, the studio wants to return to its action-adventure roots with the title and, according to theofficial sitedeliver the "most profound gameplay in Naughty Dog's history."

Furthermore, only the trailer provides a glimpse of what we could expect in terms of gameplay. Naughty Dog seems to be saying goodbye to the third-person shooter genre for the time being and instead focusing on close-combat action.

After all, in the trailer we see Jordan fighting a giant robot with some kind of energy sword. Of course, that doesn't mean that there won't be ranged weapons in the game, but we'll just have to wait for more information.
