The Void Wireless V2 specifies a good tone in many situations and convinces with a long battery life and a large reach. The depth of the stage leaves something to be desired, but if you get along with it and with a lot of bass, you are in good hands here.
Well, of course, it means "hearing" by "feeling", because regular headsets without a wind machine and odor scatterer are still around, which might not always make the experience more inevitable, but certainly not always better. You don't have to! In the freshly published Void Wireless V2 from Razer there is also a lot of expertise that makes the headset a very good choice-although this recommendation mainly applies to PC players. After all, the Void Wireless V2 not only sounds very decent. It also offers almost everything you need when playing and around it.
That is in it
So from the front: What do you get with the Void Wireless V2? First of all, a wireless headset including dongle and very short USB charging cable as well as permanently installed microphone, which you can fold up and down over your swivel and flexible arm as quickly as it is conveniently. If it is next to the listener, it is automatically muted, which is practical in order not to cough all aspects of an aggressive cold to the rest of the party.
The headset is compatible with PCs as well as PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In addition, it connects via Bluetooth with correspondingly capable devices (including Nintendos Switch), switching between the two connecting types at the push of a button. If you connect it to your cell phone, you hear the ringing of incoming calls and can make calls via the headset, while the sound is automatically muted by the PC.
Four audio profiles are supplied (competitive games, bass amplifiers, films and the neutral starting position); You can also create your own via the Razer-owned software ICUE. For space sound you can activate Dolby Atmos and if you want, download Nvidia Broadcast to filter noise and thus improve the quality of the language recorded by the microphone. However, this did not bring any significant advantage even when the window is open, since my voice was practically trouble -free even without Nvidia's help. This is therefore more of a praise of the micros than a weakness of Broadcast.

Most of the device is made of plastic and is therefore pleasantly light, not least, while you can infect the bracket infinitelylessly. Due to the shape of the mussels, it unfortunately only looks as if they do not completely complete below the ears. I believe that they still do this because a back of the sound does not change anything noticeably. It still feels a little strange even after a long time to get used to it, which is why I would prefer round upholstery.
Runs and runs and runs
Class is the long battery life of the Void Wireless V2, which Razer herself with up to 70 hours. I can't count that, but it is indeed a rich long -running favorite. And I also think the range of the 2.4GHz connection, because I only get short dropouts at the opposite end of my not particularly wide but relatively long apartment.
It is all the better that I can also change the volume there via a small cog and change the audio profile. I just think it's a shame that in Bluetooth mode, for example when connecting to a Steam Deck, you should not use your own profiles. I also wish that the headset would not only register acoustically by Bluetooth, but also on the PC with short pings if you change the profile, because you sometimes fish something in the dark.
Basically, the acoustic signals, for example when switching the connection type and switching on and off, are extremely helpful. Oh, and another wish for the future: it would be nice if the headset automatically inserted itself as an active device when switching on under Windows and would go back to the previous setting when switching off.
And finally the most important thing in terms of headset: the sound. Razer can do it well. Variant V2 of the VOID Wireless is too bass -heavy for my taste, but in principle it dissolves the sound in detail - which applies not only to games, but also when listening to music or watching films. For real listening pleasure, the deep calibration is too dull because some accents go under. In this price range I find the quality okay.
You should only use the different equalizer profiles, because I find the neutral starting position too lifeless with every application. Only after lifting heights and depths was I able to elicit a rather better characteristic of the headset, while I particularly like the competitive profile of the default settings. With this you hear steps very clearly, without the rest of the action being excessively tinny.
For the most immersive experiences as possible, however, I recommend activating Dolby Atmos because it is best to come into its own. Just be aware that you cannot use the equalizer and thus the audio profiles.
The industrial sound is the greatest weakness of the Void Wireless V2. Because no matter what game it is about and no matter what setting you use: The sound practically never comes from the depth of a virtual space, but is always right in front of the ear. This applies to Dolby Atmos and Sony's Tempest in PlayStation 5 games. Once again, I first tried the latter with Returnal, where the Sisyphos tower unfortunately seems very compact if you hold Sony's pulse headset against it, which costs the same price. In multiplayer battles, the opponents are always (and of course exaggerated) right next to a room on the opposite side.
Void Wireless V2 im Test – Fazit
In fact, the sound characteristics are the biggest difference between the two wireless PC and PS5 headsets: Where Sony relies on wide rooms and a relatively neutral tuning, the Void Wireless V2 creates very small stages and emphasizes the bass exceptionally. For this, it convinces with a wide range, enormously long battery life and a very good microphone that can be muted quickly. The Bluetooth connection and the carefully created equalizer profiles are also a plus-just a shame that you can only use your own sound profiles on the PC. All in all, the Void Wireless V2 is a really good and versatile headset, which is particularly acoustic but not in the big ones.
