The Epic Games Advent calendar actually started last week. There was already the first mysterious free game that you could grab for your collection. However, the first title was also available for a whole week - that will change from now on.
Over the holidays there is actually a new game for free every day. So you have to hurry if you don't want to miss it. We'll summarize how the Christmas campaign works and what games are available.
Which free game is included today?
The new free game for December 19th will not be revealed until 5:00 p.m. German time. Until then you can still secure the first Advent calendar title. This is this timeThe Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria.
This is how the Epic Games free promotion works
Epic Games usually reveals its new free games a week before we can grab them. Things are different with the Advent calendar. The new titles are only revealed here when they go live.
In addition, the titles apart from the first and last games are only available for 24 hours. So you don't have much time to grab them. The games are eachunveiled at 5 p.m. and are then open until 4:59 p.m. the following dayavailable.
Here is the schedule when each of the 16 free games will be available:
- December 12th to December 19th:erstes Mystery-Spiel (The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria)
- December 19th to January 2nd:a new mystery game every day at 5 p.m. (14 games in total)
- January 2nd to January 9th:last mystery game

This is how you secure the free games
You don't have to spend a cent to get the games. But you need an account for the Epic Games Store. Then simply open the PC launcher or the Epic Games website. Then navigate to the “Store” tab and scroll to the “Free Games” section. Now all you have to do is click on the game that is currently available for free and then you can get it.
A notice:Sometimes it takes a few minutes during activation until the price for the new free games is adjusted. Then simply wait a moment and refresh the page until the 100 percent discount is displayed.
