During our trips to Thedas, we learned many valuable lessons that will help you plan your adventurescan make things a lot easier. Whether in battles or when dealing with factions.
Wait to explore
When you first enter a new area, most of the map will be unavailable. Only when you have completed the first mission in a zone will the map open and you will gain access to most chests, shrines and altars.
If you are still faced with lost doors, then this is often related to side quests. Then just check back later.
Enchant your equipment
Later you have the opportunity to enchant your equipment in the lighthouse.Be sure to use it and enchant every single pieceand also remember that if you replace a part, you will have to re-enchant it.
For example, 25 percent more stumbling doesn't sound like much, but it makes a big difference in how quickly you can execute a finisher.
Don't use Finisher directly
If you cause opponents to stumble, save yourself the elimination.Take advantage of the stunned state by dealing as much damage as possible. Only at the last second or when the opponent has little life should you carry out the elimination.
Also, don't use your ultimate skills while enemies are stumbling. The stun timer continues running during the long animations. You're better off with normal attacks and abilities.
Use the companions' healing
At least one character should always have a heal equipped. The longer the game lasts and the higher your life points are, the weaker the healing potions become until they heal almost nothing at all.
The skills, on the other hand, still manage to heal you completely even in the endgame. They also have additional advantages if you put skill points into the healing talents. This is how you get ultimate power, become invulnerable or your abilities have lower cooldowns.
Double detonations are the key to success
You should also pay attention to your combos when choosing your companion. Each has an ability that acts as a starter or trigger for detonations. With this you stun your opponents and also cause serious damage to them and surrounding enemies.
Try to arrange the group so that you can start detonations with both companions and trigger them with Rook.Your companions have cooldowns on their skills, while you only have to spend resources and can often use three to four skills in a row.
This way you create two detonations in quick succession, while you only have one detonation when the companions trigger them among themselves.
Sells items in a controlled manner
You can only get rid of valuables from the individual faction dealers. But you should never just press the button that sells everything.
In addition to the gold, you also get reputation and can level up and purchase new items from certain reputation values. So sell valuables individually so that you barely reach the next reputation level and then perhaps sell the rest to another faction.
With this tactic you still have all the gold, but access to more items.
Complete as many side quests as possible
If you want to reach the maximum level of 50 quickly, then you shouldn't leave the side quests behind.Fights against enemies only give very few experience points, while even the smallest quests often pay out thousands of XP.
In addition, many side quests also open up other areas of the map that would otherwise be inaccessible.
Upgrade the forge in the lighthouse directly
If you get the message that you can upgrade the forge in the lighthouse, then you should drop everything and do that immediately.
The higher the level of the blacksmith, the better the equipment you get from chests. This saves you the materials for upgrading.

Damage isn't everything
You may be tempted to always choose the weapon that has the highest damage value. At first it's okay. But at the latest when the weapons reach green quality, you have to look at the properties.
Pay attention to what your skilling supports and sometimes accept lower damage. If you throw meteors around you, higher fire damage is much more valuable than if your weapon does 5 points more damage.
