News - Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2: Large update brings PVE mission, new weapon & more

The Warhammer action hit 40,000: Space Marine 2 receives fresh play content in the large Trygon update.

Saber Interactive delivers fresh content for the Action Hit Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The Third-Personal action game has now received the Trygon update, which is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC for download.

In the free update you get a new PVE mission and a new weapon, plus a number of quality-of-life improvements. In addition, two cosmetic DLC packages await you.

The new PVE mission is "ex-filtration". In this you return to the windy Avarax and take it up in the ninth PVE surgery of the game with the mighty Trygon, which at the same time gives the update its name. This new boss specializes in guerrilla tactics and is known for its ability to dig under the lines of defense and follow its prey - no matter how safe it thinks. The mission is free of charge for all players and at the same time the perfect opportunity to try out a new secondary weapon: the inferno pistol.

The QOL updates in the patch include the introduction of prestige ranks, prestige rewards, a revision of many weapons perks, the possibility of changing the color of clothing, coat of arms and hoods for all classes, as well as the often desired PvP-Lobbies. Here, groups of up to 12 players can combine for fully adjustable Eternal-War games.

Season Pass owners also receive two new cosmetic DLC packages. The first package is the "Space Wolves Chapter Pack", which contains a new Champion-Skin for the Vanguard, three weapons skins (Chainsword, Bolt Carbine and Thunder Hammer) as well as more than 50 unique comatic objects and colors in honor of the 12 large companies in the chapter.

In addition, the "Imperial Fists Champion Pack", which contains its own Champion Skin for the tactical class and a plasma incinerator car to celebrate the Sons of Dorn.
