Larian Studios is already working on a new project, but the cast of Baldur's Gate III would apparently also be ready for a sequel to the RPG epic.
Baldur's Gate III turned out to be an unexpectedly big role-playing game hit after its release. Nevertheless, the developers at Larian Studios have now made it clear: They will neither deliver a major DLC for the current RPG, nor are the studio working on a successor in the form of Baldur's Gate IV. Instead, the team is dedicating themselves to a completely different new project, but.
In any case, the cast of the current role-playing game would apparently be up for such mind games. At least that's what Jennifer English, the actress of Shadowheart in Baldur's Gate III, revealed.
In conversation withGamesRadarSaid English: "I think we [the cast] are all open to the future. If there is a future with Shadowheart, I would like it to be beautifully written and honor the players of the game, as well as how inclusive and forward-thinking Larian is If this opportunity arises [...] I would definitely consider it - but only under these conditions."
It is therefore important for the actress that Shadowheart does not degenerate into a caricature of herself in a potential sequel to Baldur's Gate. Rather, a sequel must also do justice to the character as a whole.
Baldur's Gate III will be released in 2025, then the role play is over. Larian is now devoting himself to his own new projects; It is currently unknown whether the rights holders may be cooperating with another studio for a Baldur's Gate IV.
Fans of Baldur's Gate III have recently been able to look forward to official mod support. This slightly different trailer presents the possibilities.
