Will the upcoming medieval RPG get controversial copy protection? The makers have now clearly positioned themselves on this.

There is a lot of speculation on the internet and in the community about the upcoming medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance II when it comes to the topic of copy protection. It is repeatedly claimed that the developers could use the controversial DRM system Denuvo, which is often blamed for performance losses. The developers have now taken a clear position on these rumors - wherever they may come from.

PR boss Tobias Stolz-Zwilling has now spoken out in a Twitch stream and made it clear: Denuvo DRM is not used. Gamers can therefore put their fears aside.

"I can now present you the concrete situation: It is a fact that Kingdom Come: Deliverance II does not have Denuvor. It will not use any DRM system at all. We have never confirmed that! Sure, there have been some discussions, there have been some Misinformation, but at the end of the day there will be no Denuvo at all," he clarified.

The PR boss then goes on to say that fans should not believe information that does not come directly from the developers. At the same time, he asked that every post from the developer not be accompanied by the claim in the comments that Denuvo is on board - because that is simply not the truth.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will be released on January 11, 2025 for PC and consoles.
