We have many months on the Nintendo DirectSwitch 2Tighted and last Wednesday it was finally that far. In 60 minutes there were not only a few games, but also many new facts about the upcoming console. Such events are usually used to boost the anticipation, but this time it seems to be different with you.
Your euphoria has dropped something
In the weeks before the event we asked you if you wanted to pre -order the Nintendo Switch 2. The most frequently chosen choice was until the event "Well, of course, will be pre -ordered as soon as possible." A total of 35% made it clear that the pre -order is already firmly planned. Here again the result in the overview:
- 35% na clearo, will be pre -ordered as soon as possible.
- 22 % yes, but only when there are enough new games.
- 20 % ne, stay with my other consoles / PC.
- 17 % at some point in the sale ...
- 6 % no, my switch is enough for me.
According to the survey, 35% wanted to pre -order 39% only later - if more games are available or the console is cheaper - and forego 26%. After the event, however, the result looks a little different.
We asked if you wanted to pre -order the Switch 2 (still) and you have voted in large numbers within a short time. That is the results, as of April 04, 2025, 07:00 p.m.
- 25% ne, no interest.
- 24% maybe at some point in the sale.
- 19% would like to buy, but only at some point.
- 18% Shut up and take my money!
- 7% I probably order.
- 7% I'm looking again for the release.
Only 18% clearly state that they want to pre -order the Switch 2 and even if we count on the 7% of the people who are likely to pre -order, we only get 25%. In the best case, the people who have postponed their decision to the release-at best, only 32% of you have a new Nintendo console in hand.
In contrast, the proportion of people who want to strike later have increased. In the first survey, it was still 39%, we come to 43%here. Funnily enough, the proportion of people who do not want to buy has dropped 1%. Nintendo was able to convince at least a few people in general of the Switch 2.
Why is it?
Of course, the development cannot be seen exactly due to the different answer options, but a change in the mood is clearly recognizable. This also coincides with the mood in the fan discussions.
The most commonly discussed point is the pricing policy of Nintendo. The console is already quite expensive at 470 euros, plus the increased prices for new games. According to another survey, the prices are clearly too high for you.
But other topics are also discussed with heated, such as that the entire functionality of a button can only be used with a paid subscription, or some beloved Switch games are not playable on the Switch 2.
Are you one of the people who actually wanted to pre -order but hesitate now? If so, what was the decisive factor for you? Please write it in the comments!
