Bowers & Wilkins brings the Premium headphones PX7 S3 in three colors and promises sound luxury to take away

Bowers & Wilkins presented the new premium headphone PX7 S3, which is available from today.

With the new headphones and its "fundamentally revised industrial design", you don't want to set less than "new standards in terms of performance, comfort and style".

Improved sound performance

The manufacturer promises a "significantly improved sound performance" compared to the PX7 S2E, since "almost every element" of the driver unit was redesigned.

"The 40 mm drivers made of bio cellulose are equipped with a revised chassis, improved magnets as well as an optimized vibration coil and suspension-only the membrane material was taken from the previous generation," it says. "The comprehensive adjustments to the driver unit ensure even lower distortions and sound coloring as well as increased resolution and dynamics."

At the same time, it is the first over-ear headphone from Bowers & Wilkins with dedicated, discrete headphone amplifiers, which should ensure more volume and energy.

Both AptxtM adaptive (24 bit/96 kHz) and aptX Lossless are supported, there is also a 3.5 mm connection and you can use the headphones with hi-res-capable USB-C. You get both cable types together with a transport tui to the headphones.

Noise suppression and other features

Furthermore, one speaks here of the "most powerful and effective active noise-canceling technology that the company has ever developed".

"Eight powerful microphones were carefully placed along the outside of the two ear cups and offer breathtaking listening experiences. Two microphones measure the starting performance of each driver, four are attached to the opposite sides of the ear cups to ensure the best possible coverage, and monitor the ambient noise, and two ensure a crystal -clear voice quality."

On top of that, the language processing technology Adi Pure Voice should filter undesirable noises in loud environments.

According to Bowers & Wilkins, the headset reaches a term of up to 30 hours. With a 15-minute quick charge you can use the headphones for seven hours again.

The PX7 S3 also supports 3D audio as the first headphones of the company. The new technology is to be introduced in the course of the year by "over-the-air update". There is also support for Bluetooth Le Audio and the Broadcast function Auracast.
