Why do Arbok decks counter Mewtwo-ex?
Death-Strategie:Mewtwo-ex decks generally need some time to build up their field. They are fromGuardevoirdependent, which must first be developed twice as a phase 2 card. Using the abilityPsyshadowGardevoir can attach a Psychic Energy to its active Psychic Pokémon once per turn.
Death-exBenefits immensely from this ability as it gives it its powerful attackPsycho drivecan be used for 150 points of damage each round, although it actually has to discard two Psychic Energy after the attack.

Arbok counter strategy: Arbokadds with his only attackPressAdds 60 (or 80 to Psychic-type Pokémon) damage. While the damage is modest, Arbok's attack has the additional effect of preventing the defending Pokémon from retreating from the active position after the attack.
