Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 finally has a hardcore mode - fans can look forward to an adventure without a quick trip and compass

Fans ofHave reason to be happy, because the hardcore mode is finally available. This difficult mode is aimed at everyone who wants an even more realistic and more demanding gaming experience. The Warhorse Studios developer studio has already announced in advance how hardcore mode should demand its players even harder.

Ask the NPCs for the way

In the new mode, the players demand a lot. Permanent cards, compass or even a quick trip? PFF ... these are tools for beginners. If you want to prove yourself in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you have to say goodbye to such luxury items. In hardcore mode, you have to find out where you are, and so NPCs could provide extremely useful notes to find out the current location. Travelers on the streets can also be asked for the path. This increased claim should also benefit realism. Because who didn't ask for the way earlier when the luxury of Google Maps did not yet exist.

The Senior Game Designer of the Warhorse Studios, Karel Kolmann, commented on the new function to ask NPCs for the way. "In the hardcore mode of the first game, we did things like the deactivation of the card position and the removal of the compass, but this time we went further," says Kolman (viaVideo Games Chronicle). "We added the option to ask different NPCs about our own location in the world what is more immersive. You can hit travelers on the street and ask them for the way."

Henry can quickly become a sleepwalker

When starting a hardcore game, players have to choose two negative properties. Among them, for example, "back problems", which means that they can wear less equipment, "sleeping hiking", which does not surprisingly cause sleepwalking, or "hungry Heinrich", which gets hunger even faster than usual.

"We only retained a few of the advantages of the first game and then created new ones to offer a completely new challenge," said Kolmann.

"It's also not just about making the game more difficult, but also about making it more captivating."

The hardcore mode is therefore clearly aimed at veterans and not on newcomers. So if you are looking for a new challenge in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the hardcore mode would be worth trying.
