Naruto fans are still mad at the mangaka for ruining the most important moment in the series

It bothers many fans that Naruto wasn't able to take part in the most important event of his life.

If we look at each otherNarutoremember, we think above all of epic ninja fights, emotional moments with corresponding onesmusical backgroundand Naruto's desire to be accepted by his village. In order to achieve the latter, he desperately wants to become Hokage and thus the leader of his home village Konohagakure.

The moment when he achieves his goal after many years is correspondingly special. However, fans are still very dissatisfied with the way Naruto's dream ultimately came true.

The day Naruto became Hokage

After many, many manga chapters, Naruto finally achieves his dream and is made Hokage. However, this no longer takes place in the original manga or anime, but instead occurs in a special OVA episode that is part of the DVD for the eighth Naruto Shippuden filmBoruto: Naruto the Movieis.

The special episode is titled “The Day Naruto Became Hokage.” The following content might also seem familiar to Boruto viewers among you, as some scenes were repeated in the 18th episode of the successor anime.

Danger! Spoilers for Naruto's family and Hokage ceremony follow!

Content of the episode:Naruto, who is now a father, is finally going to be made Hokage. When his wife Hinata leaves the house on the day of his ceremony, he has to look after their two children, Boruto and Himawari.

However, the two siblings get into an argument in which daughter Himawari awakens the Byakugan - an ancient technique that is inherited within her mother's family. When she wants to attack Boruto with it, Naruto intervenes and intercepts the attack. However, he then falls to the ground himself.

So it happens that Naruto is passed out at home during his own Hokage ceremony. On site, Naruto's self-proclaimed apprentice Konohamaru takes over his role by impersonating Naruto using a transformation jutsu and is appointed Hokage in his place.

Many fans don't like the "wrong" Naruto

Many fans find it unsatisfactory that Konohamaru actually experiences Naruto's really important moment.

For example, when asked on the Internet about the worst Naruto moments, many people come forward with the clear answer that Naruto's missed Hokage ceremony has to be included in the list.

For RedditorMotroid127the whole scene is even unforgivable, as Naruto never actually received the Hokage hat himself:

“This is what we have been working towards since the first episode and the first manga chapter. Why do you think we stayed until the end? Just to watch him not get the hat? There are times when you should tell jokes, but not when it involves Naruto becoming Hokage.”

Elsewhere on Reddit, users are talking about itdubiousbutterflysimilar:

“They really took away the most beautiful and heartfelt moment of the series just to show a bunch of kids misbehaving.”

So it's very clear that many fans would have much preferred to see the real Naruto finally see his lifelong dream come true - especially considering that this dream was always present in the anime and manga.

After all, it would be comparatively similarly unsatisfactory if, for example, in One Piece Luffy finally became the king of the pirates and ate something bad at his party so that he had to spend the entire time in the on-board toilet.

At this point we are, as always, curious to hear the opinion of the GamePro community:Do you remember this moment from Naruto and if so, how did you experience it? What is the weakest moment of the anime or manga for you?
