To hand out more damage when I cry around in the fight, be faster when sneaking, find small treasures of picking herbs or recognizing how difficult it is to convince my counterpart of something-the perk menu ofoffers a real cornucopia of useful advantages.
While I often forget to spend my stated points in many other games for hours, I was happy in the Warhorse-RPG like a snow queen when I had activated new specializations.
Rarely has a perk system motivated me in such a way and this is not only due to the useful bonuses themselves, but also because KCD2 is an unusual RPG.
Dirt, stealing, skirmishes, sleep: perks as versatile as the game
Role playing allow me to choose my very own style of play, and in many titles I have most fun with the very simple method: frontally on the opponents with roaring, sword in my hand. I usually get along so well that I don't feel the need to unlock new advantages so often. Another complicated combat combo for very specific situations? I don't need it away!
In Kingdom Come, on the other hand, I become a well -considered strategist who loves to find clever solutions for missions, which often only develop when observing and exploring.
On the one hand, the RPG series with its relentless hardness in the first few hours of play blunted me that I can't get my head through the wall here. On the other hand, it feels extremely satisfactory to find creative solutions - because I have so many freedom and thus save me crisp struggles.
On the way with Heinrich Schleiche, Stehle and I manipulate in side missions, what it takes. Incidentally, I stem the challenges of everyday life: hunger, tiredness, body odor ... This makes the gaming experience extremely versatile and the helpful perks make life easier for me.
A difference like day and night
The useful advantages not only look good on paper, but also have a noticeable effect.
If Heinrich's stomach no longer grumbles as quickly thanks to the vitality PERS “ASKET”, I can make it to the next in time before tipping out of his slides. If I get bonuses through “red fog”, if Heinrich's health is low, I can decide for a tight fight for myself at the last moment.
Leshy 1 and 2 give really useful bonuses when I'm out in the forest.
This also feels so satisfactory because Kingdom Come 2 throws into the cold Bohemian water in the first few hours of play and makes bare survival fight.
When Heinrich suddenly surmounts enemies after I bitten my lower lip nervously in every fight, or sneaks through the night like a shadow, this is a wonderful RPG trip.
I also motivated me that everything I do in KCD2 is rewarded. For example, I just run through cozy Bohemia and hop over a few fallen trees, I continuously increase Heinrich's vitality.
From little Heini to the radiant knight
After a certain season, of course, this also ensures that Heinrich becomes an all -rounder and that I hardly have to worry about anything. Especially when I also get good equipment.
Therefore, my enthusiasm for the PERK menu in the course of the game has subsided a little. And KCD2 does not do without a fountain pen. For example, I left the drinking strength bonuses completely on the left-because the negative effects of occasional drunkness are of little importance, or the perk advantages for the drunken Heinrich would hardly have torn out of it.
The level and specialization system really packed me for a very long time, regardless of the captivating game world and the great stories. I hope that more RPGs will not only offer me exciting perks in the future, but also give me a reason to use them!
