School can be damn exhausting, especially when it comes to subject matter that you just don't like - most people will know that, or at least be able to remember it.
It helps if you have a good teacher who makes every effort to explain the school material to you in the most understandable way possible. And what better way to do this than with a topic that pretty much everyone knows: Pokémon! This teacher, who used the game for her lessons, probably thought that too.
Learn chemistry with Pokémon? Yes, please!
A mole consists of 6 × 1023particles. There you go, here you have the full extent of my chemistry knowledge, which is still left over from my school days! Hopefully this teacher's students will fare better in the future if they try to remember old school material.
The somewhat unusual teaching methods that the teacher used for chemistry lessons may also help.
A post is currently making the rounds on Reddit in which user taikifooda shared a photo from his chemistry class. This obviously shows a slide from a presentation that is in the style of the old Game Boy Pokémon games. Instead of a wild Pokémon, the trainer encounters a wild copper sulfate.

The image was obviously reworked by hand and even uses the original pixelated text that older fans already know from the red and blue editions. The teacher didn't just take a picture from the internet, but obviously put effort and thought into it.
The students also seem to appreciate this, at least according to the thread creator taikifooda:
I love my teacher.
Unfortunately, the user does not share any further details about the lesson. For example, we don't know which grade level the lesson material is intended for. This is probably secondary level 1, or the local equivalent.
New Pokémon games are no longer available on Game Boys, but are available on other mobile devices. Just like Pokémon TCG Pocket for smartphones recently:
Many users are also enthusiastic about the teacher's efforts in the comments. For example, user IamProfessorO writes: "Dawg... If things were taught like this, I would be a science/chemistry master."
The user is certainly not alone with this thought. We can probably all remember moments from our school days when we would have wanted nothing more than to learn boring lessons in a more relaxed manner. It's all the better that there are teachers who put in a lot of work to make life a little easier for their students.
Do you also have stories like this from your school days or do you wish you had had teachers like that?
