Lucky guy buys an OLED monitor worth €1119, Amazon accidentally delivers 2 and then promptly gives him the second one

Someone must have been amazed: Instead of one expensive OLED screen, Amazon probably delivered two. (Image: Reddit / WRSA)

If you want to have the latest technology for gaming, you have to shell out a lot of money. This not only applies to PCs and consoles themselves, but also peripheral devices such as monitors.

Accordingly, this player must have been really happy: The person ordered an expensive OLED screen on Amazon and was sent two instead. And now she doesn't even have to pay for the second one.

Amazon accidentally delivers multiple screens – twice

User WRSA shared the story on Reddit a few days ago. Accordingly, the person wanted to buy an Alienware 32 4K OLED and ordered it from Amazon. Instead of a single screen, two were delivered, as you can see in the picture.

When the person contacted Amazon to return the second monitor, they immediately experienced the second surprise: Support informed them that they could simply keep the second screen without having to pay for it. As an early Christmas present, so to speak.

By the way, this is not just a nice gesture that saves the user a few coins. The Alienware 32 4K OLED normally costs 1119 euros, but on Black Friday it is currently available with a discount of around 100 euros. Simply getting the second monitor as a gift is a huge saving.

But the story gets even more absurd:Apparently this isn't the first time something like this has happened to WRSA. In oneother postThe user reported that he had already ordered a monitor from Amazon the month before. However, the delivery was canceled several times due to alleged suspicious activity on the account.

When the person then placed another order, two monitors were delivered - although WRSA had to pay for both, which is why the player ultimately returned the delivery.

Of course, it cannot be verified with certainty whether the story is exactly true. Another user in the comments at least gives an explanation as to how this happy incident could have happened.

How could this have happened?SeaFuehnixThis can happen, among other things, when packages are marked as “lost”. Here you will find the note “Your shipment may have been lost” on the Amazon order page.

If Amazon sends a second package upon request, but the “lost” item has since reappeared at the supplier, two packages can suddenly appear at the door.

In such cases, Amazon sometimes lets you keep both deliveries as a gesture of goodwill and to save on return shipping costs. However, this of course happens much less often with such expensive shipments and is not guaranteed anyway.

In any case, user WRSA explains that he quickly sold the second monitor on eBay. By winning from this, the lucky person may have even saved money on the first monitor.

Have you ever been so lucky with an order?
