I love the new Death Stranding 2 -trailer - although I didn't get absolutely nothing

This is how video game trailers have to be, says Dennis.

What the youngest, a good ten -minute trailer tooDelolved in me late Sunday evening is as unique as Hideo Kojima's games. Not only do the spectacular cutscenes and gameplay scenes from the game look extremely impressive and increase my already huge anticipation for the release on June 26th.

In addition, I also had to smile more than once when I looked. What to tell me the many scenes about the story? Honestly, I really don't have a shimmer - even though I ripped through the predecessor in over 50 hours and also understood (mostly). Cunated, completely confused and spectacular at the same time. A game from Kojima and I already love it.

Here you can look at the trailer and get yourself a picture of Death Stranding 2:

One of the best trailers I've ever seen

Trailer should make you want to get an upcoming game and at best show me what awaits me in terms of content. In recent years, however, I have spread quite a bit of teaser and trailer disenchantment with me. A lot of CGI and often hardly revealing insights into the gameplay joined the gameplay at early announcements with vague scenes. The Elder Scrolls 6 is mentioned here as a prime example.

In addition, there are many games that look in the trailer such as the perceived video game dream, which, as in the case of The Day Before, turns out to be the wrong promise or general mogen pack.

Ganz anders Death Stranding 2.The fantastic -looking cutscenes with Léa Seydoux, who holds the new Bridge baby in their arms, or I will get the intimate kiss between her and Norman Reedus in the same way later, so I'm sure. Just like the spectacular boss fights against high-rise BTS (beached thing, boss fights in Death Stranding) or the wonderful shots from the Open World. The shown is rounded off by a phenomenal musical accompaniment by singer Woodkid.

Kojima Productions have already proven in the predecessor that all the one shown looks just as much in the finished game on the PS5, which gives the trailer all the more punch and class. There is so much to discover here, so many “wow” moments and so much that increases my anticipation for the release. In my opinion, it is not much better.

Kojima spoil me without spoiling me

But back to my smiling. Would have Naughty Dog in a new trailerAs many story cutscenes showed, the whole internet would have burned and “spoiler!” screamed.

Death Stranding 2 tells me a large part of the story in the new trailer - but curiously, without spoiling me. What I see here as a “ignorant” are only cool moments that make you want more, but that do not make any sense without a story relationships and the overarching context. At least that's how I feel. The story of part 1 was anything but easy to understand, especially towards the end and also offered a lot of space for interpretation.

Death Beaching 2 shows a lot, but above all makes you want more.

Why are huge hand monsters appearing, why is a tentacle out of the mouth of antagonist Higgs and has Neil aka Luca Marinelli really turned into Solid Snake? HideoKojima is a master in showing a lot and little at the same time. To spoil me without spoiling me.

And if Death Beaching 2 take as much time for his story as the predecessor, I will surely experience countless spectacular, strange and beautiful moments in the finished game. In any case, I am looking forward to the release in June like Bolle.

But how do you feel? Does the trailer already show too much or does it show exactly what you wanted to see from the game a few months before appearing?
