News - Project C4: New game of the Disco Eysium studios announced!

Today, ZA/UM, the studio behind Disco Elysium, had the bomb burst: With Project C4, the developers have a new project at the start that at least sounds as if it could step into the footsteps of the successful first.

The Estonian studio didn't really want to tell much about their game. Only the name and the rough topic. Project C4 is said to be a spy RPG with profound dialogues. Just like at Disco Elysium, cubes probably play a major role in deciding whether you fail in a situation or whether you can do anything.Inspiration pulls ZA/to the works of John Le Carré (Dame, König, AS, Spy) and Stanislaw Lem (Solaris).

Project C4 is probably not a glossy bond thriller, but rather deals with the dark and dystopian aspects of the espionage. You work for a dodgy organization and find yourself in a dangerous tug of war and influence power and influence.

The mind of the character also seems to be important again, because it can be "deleted, changed, reorganized and of course changed by regular consumption of psychoactive substances." Everything sounds very offset again and is therefore in a real tradition of Disco Elysium.

The announcement of a new game is a little out of nowhere for ZA/by, it was not certain for a long time whether the studio is still active. After the great success of Disco Elysium in 2019 and the countless prices that the studio could do for this, there was a break.

After a legal dispute between the founders of the studio and an investor on illegal business practices, the studio dissolved partly and to this day the future of ZA/UM was unclear.

More information (and hopefully even the first pictures from the game itself) should probably be available on the GDC next week.
