The most popular Dark Souls hub is now available in Elden Ring - fans make it possible and it looks so cool

Melina shouldn't be surprised when she sees that.

Hubs are a really important element in Souls games. After all, they represent our safe haven in an extremely hostile world. They are also an important contact point because useful and interesting NPCs gradually gather there, who, for example, sell us things, improve weapons or give us quests.

InOur retreat is the Round Table Fortress, to which we can beam from a certain point in the game. A mod now swaps the building with the wood-clad walls for a Dark Souls hub, to which many fans have particularly enjoyed returning.

Majula instead of the Round Table Festival: This is how the Dark Souls 2 hub in Elden Ring works

is a pretty polarizing offshoot of the series among fans, but that doesn't apply to the hub area, which is particularly popular in the community. While other retreats tend to focus on a building or are sometimes limited to interior spaces, in Dark Souls 2 we end up in a small village high on the cliffs above the sea.

What fans particularly appreciate about Majula is the cozy atmosphere, which contrasts with the nasty dangers that lurk all over the world. In addition to the visuals, this is particularly ensured by the background music. The Majula theme is so meditative and reduced that it immediately has a relaxing effect.

Die Mod "Majula Hub", which is available on the Nexus Mods portal, now ensures that you can also enjoy this in Elden Ring, at least on PC. The nice thing about it is that the NPCs from the Round Table Fortress have also been sensibly placed in the alternative hub. The Hub is not just a backdrop, but also fully functional.

Nexus Mods is a portal where you can download the mod for free. All you need is an account. You only have to pay for this if you want fast download speeds.

You can see for yourself in the video from the fan who created the mod:

Of course, you don't start in a place of mercy, but rather, in keeping with the Dark Souls setting, at a beacon. Then there's a detour to characters like the blacksmith Hewg, Diallos and Gideon Ofnir. He even changes his place throughout the game, initially greeting us in front of the house before we find him at his desk.

Doors that only open with stone sword keys have also been integrated. Both game worlds are really harmoniously linked and the wide view over the sea fits in really well with the land in between.

What is your favorite hub in FromSoftware's Souls games?

But now we are of course curious about the opinion of the GamePro community. Are you all Majula fans or do you feel more at home in another hub?

We not only included the hubs of the Dark Souls games in our survey, but we also didn't want to miss out on Bloodborne, Sekiro and "prototype" Demon's Souls. We are excited to see which retreat wins the race for you.

Feel free to tell us in the comments what you particularly like about your chosen hub, but of course also how you like Majula in Elden Ring.
