Seeing how good a new Assassin's Creed will have never been as exciting for us as now at Shadows - after all, the past few months for Ubisoft were truly not easy. Since last night we have known at least in terms of valuation, where the journey for the Japan offshoot is going-namely in good realms.

Shadows beats Valhalla, but only

Before we come to the strengths and weaknesses of Assassin's Creed Shadows, first a classification of how the adventure of Naoe and Yasuke beats compared to the three other action RPGs in the series.

  • Valhalla (80)
  • Odyssey (83)
  • Origins (81)

At this point, however, it should be noted that evaluations of course originate in their time in which they were given. Whether awould still score 80 points in 2025.

Incidentally, the best rated game in the series is still - drum roll -With a proud 90 points. This makes the Eziio offshoot the only game in the series that the 90s sound wall could break through.

That is particularly good for AC Shadows

  • starke Story
  • multi -layered heroes and antagonists
  • beautiful game world
  • Atmosphere of the feudal Japan first -class implemented

The mix of stealth and action is also very often praised, although there is also criticism of the gameplay.

Gamestar tester Dimi, who awards strong 87 points, also had a lot of fun with Shadows and praises:

"Shadows is particularly surprising with his story as one of the best Assassin's Creeds since Ezio and delivers an epic trip to Japan."

Here AC Shadows leaves points

  • Fiddish parkouring system
  • Defects in the quest design
  • Looks stretched
  • English synchro

In many tests, the word "employment therapy" also falls, which has already been significantly reduced compared to Valhalla.

In summary, reads outthat Shadows is a clear step in the right direction for the row, but there is still a need for improvement for Ubisoft.

Assassin's Creed Shadows im GamePro-Test

We were also able to test Shadows on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in detail before the release on March 20 and are much more positive compared to Valhalla. Above all, the great Japan-Atmo and the story, with its sometimes very strong moments, did it to us.

What else we liked and where Shadows weakens you read in the article linked above.

Now you are asked. Surprised you the rating or would you have located Shadows in terms of score in the low 80s area?
