Sony founded a new first party studio under the flag of the Playstation Studios.
At Sony PlayStation there is a new first party developer. So this Monday was public that the Playstation Studios founded a new developer studio with Dark Outlaw Games. This team is led by Jason Blundell, the former lead developer of Zombies mode in Call of Duty.
Blundell himself confirmed the name of the developer studio in an interview that was published on Monday. "The studio is called Dark Outlaw. We have been working in hidden and if we have something to report for a while, we will step out in the light."
What the studio's first game will be about is not yet known, but the title may be the unannounced live service multiplayer game, for which new staff has recently been hired. According to the tenders, this project is still in an early stage of development.
Whether it is this project or not: According to Blundell, it is in any case a "privilege" to be able to implement the first work as a new first party studio from Sony. After all, Sony would not constantly found any new first party studios.
