As a release date for the physical version, Amazon currently gives theMarch 13thto. The game should be released on March 11th and next to the PS5 and the Nintendo Switchalso for PC and Xbox Seriesbe available. However, the digital versions for PS5 and PC are currently not available, but there is already a demo on Steam.

We are talking about Beyond the Ice Palace 2, a name that probably only says something among you. Both in the original and its successor, it is a darkAction-Platformer,which used to be compared to Ghost 'n goblins. Most of today's viewers are likely to be the Gothic art designCastlevania seriesremember.

This time you play a cursed king who returns from the dead to recapture his empire. Among other things you lie downIn spectacular boss fights with huge demonsto. Your primary weapon are the chains with which the king was once tied up, which is strong in theFamous Chain Whipreminiscent from Castlevania. In the course of the game you should be able to upgrade your figure with numerous new skills and upgrades.
Graphically, Beyond the Ice Palace 2 uses a nostalgic pixel style, which, however,much more detailed and modernis as that of the original. In this regard, too, the action game is more like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night than its actual predecessor.
Incidentally, a metroid vania in today's sense was not the original Beyond the Ice Palace, because it was still much more linear than it is now used to from the genre (which also applies to many of the early Castlevania games). The successor now seems withhidden areas, appreciation and puzzlesto offer at least more freedom to explore. How much Metroidvania actually in Beyond the Ice Palace 2 will have to be shown.
All in all, you can already hold on: you don't have to know the predecessor to find Beyond the Ice Palace 2 exciting. All those of you who combine cozy memories with the Castlevania series and are eagerly on a few years agoBloodstainedhave waited at least a look on this action platformer!
