After there was recently a first teaser, the first real trailer for the movie for the horror game Until Dawn was released today. The German start date has also been set.
The successful horror title Until Dawn makes the jump to the big screen! The film version will be released in German cinemas on April 24, 2025 - and now we can get a more concrete picture of what exactly awaits us. Because today Sony Pictures released the first real trailer for the film adaptation.
In the film, Peter Stormare is back as Hill, but otherwise the Striefen tells a completely separate story in the Until Dawn universe - far away from the plot of the video game. The cast includes Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, Odessa A'zion and Belmont Cameli.
So what is the plot of the film directed by David F. Sandberg? One year after the mysterious disappearance of her sister Melanie, Clover and her friends head to the remote valley where she disappeared in search of answers. While exploring an abandoned visitor center, they are stalked by a masked killer and murdered one by one in gruesome ways... until they wake up and find themselves back at the beginning of the same evening.
Trapped in the valley, they are forced to relive the terrible nightmare again and again - only each time the threat from the killer is different and even more terrible than the last time. With hope dwindling, the group soon discovers that they can only handle so many deaths and their only way out is to survive until dawn.
