After the Grand Finals of the 2024 Tekken 8 World Tour, producer Katsuhiro Harada commented on the near future of the fighting game. Accordingly, at least two major updates are currently planned for the title in 2025.

First of all, there is the winter update, which will bring a photo mode as well as further features for individualization. This will be followed by the spring update, which includes major balancing changes and new moves for all playable characters.
