14 years of the break have come to an end. Ninja master Joe Musashi celebrates his comeback in a 2D action platformer who is reminiscent of the mega-drive classic.
Older semesters may still remember the Shinobi series. The first three parts appeared between 1987 and 1993 and were a large number on Sega's systems at the time. The last part, Shinobi 3DS, came out for the Nintendo 3DS around 14 years ago, but could not build on the glorious times.
Maybe that succeeds, which will appear this summer. The action platform is based on The Revenge of Shinobi and Shinobi III, which are playfully among the best series parts. For example, the Kunai throwing knives and the quick jumping are returning. The graphic style, on the other hand, is reminiscent of games like Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap and Streets of Rage 4. No wonder, after all, the new adventure around Ninja-Master Joe Musashi from Lizardcube is developed, which are responsible for the titles mentioned.
After the somewhat tight announcement of the game by Sega last year, there was a first detailed trailer to see yesterday's State of Play from Sony. And that shows Joe Musashi in absolute top form: all actions look wonderfully supple and the levels seem to be brimming with varied challenges. In fact, Musashi's revenge campaign against a mighty organization with every level should become more difficult. Although the steps are closed, new skills can previously be taken.
The trailer also revealed the publication date for the game of the series:From August 29thYou can cover the ninja gap and take revenge on PS4, PS5, Xbox, Xbox Series X/S, Switch and PC.
