According to a new report, Sony has now completely scrapped the planned MMO for the successful Horizon brand. Most recently, a multiplayer spin-off for God of War had already been shelved.
After the flop with Concord, Sony is apparently putting all planned multiplayer and live service projects to the test and is taking a rigorous approach in this regard. According to the report mentioned, Project J and Project H were discontinued at the beginning of the new year 2025. The responsible employees in the respective teams have been informed that they will be assigned to other teams within the company.
NCsoft announced a global partnership with Sony at the end of 2023, which was secured by Jim Ryan from SIE and Taekjin Kim from NCsoft. Also in focus: a planned MMO project for the successful Horizon series from Guerrilla Games. At least this MMO apparently won't be coming anymore, but you shouldn't confuse it with Horizon Online.
