News - PUBG: Battlegrounds: Gameplay is standardized in the new Patch 35.1

Krafton has published the update 35.1 for PUBG's PC version: Battlegrounds and thus initiates the standardization of the gameplay.

From now on PUBG PC players can download the update 35.1; Console players of the Battle Royale duration burner receive the patch on April 17, 2025. With this, Krafton drives the promised standardization of the gameplay and provides further optimizations.

As part of the Roadmap for 2025, it had already been announced that they wanted to standardize the gameplay in the future. In this respect, the play options are normal, ranking and e-sports continue to be the same in the future to reduce entry hurdles.

In the course of this, the following standardization of items now occurs:

  • The Zipline-Gun, the Emergency Cover Flare, the Stun Gun and the Self-Aed (only solo) are now available on all cards.

  • The Blue Chip Transmitter, the 4x thermal scope and the spike trap, were removed from all Spawn pools to optimize the loot balance.

The recall system is also active on all cards, including Karakin and Paramo. The settings were adjusted depending on the card to protect the balance. In the future, however, switch-off players can return on all cards, which should ensure more uniform squad dynamics and clearer comeback structures.

Another new feature is Aim Punch Overhaul, which was previously successfully tested as part of the Gunplay Labs. Based on the feedback from the community, the following improvements await you:

  • Reduced screen jackets for hits

  • Increased firing consistency

  • Better handling of precision weapons

Finally, the new contender system is introduced in the update. It is a high-end-character-upgrade system that is accessible via the workshop. Contender outfits appear as complete sets with a unique look and thematic designs; These can be visually and functionally upgraded over time. The required materials can be found by contender prime parcels in the chests of the archivists or produced with the help of craft brands in the special trade.
