With the publication of the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025, the offer at Service Nintendo Switch Online will also be expanded. Subscribers to the service will then be able to use further classics from Nintendo past on the new console! Switch Online will be expanded to include earlier Gamecube titles on Switch 2 in the future!
There was a corresponding announcement today as part of the major direct conference around the Switch 2. In the course of this, three GameCube classics have already been confirmed, which will be playable on the Switch 2 directly from June 5, 2025:
- The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
- SoulCalibur 2
- F-Zero GX
Detached from this confirmed line-up, the following other GameCube titles for the online service were already indicated in the Direct Conference for the future:
- Super Mario Sunshine
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
- Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness
- Super Mario Strikers
- Chibi-Robo!

It remains to be seen what the publication rhythm for Gamecube games will look like at Switch Online. It is also not yet clear whether all switch-online subscribers can strike or only those who have subscribed to the expansion pack.
