It is often simply referred to as “Overwatch with superheroes” and let’s be honest: this statement is not that far from the truth. Marvel Rivals still plays very well and brings a few ideas of its own that generated a lot of interest in advance. Now the title has finally been released and the fans appreciate the developers' efforts.
Tonight the free-to-play shooter Marvel Rivals officially launched. The eligible players praised the well thought-out mechanics in advance and the interesting buddy system also caused some joy, as did Dennis in hisexplained: "The synergies between the various superheroes also enable incredibly exciting maneuvers and focus on collaboration. My matches during the closed beta turned out to be very exciting and brutally satisfying, especially with solid mates."
The launch of “Overwatch with Superheroes” last night was correspondingly successful. Just two hours after release, a whopping 444,286 players were on the servers - and those are just the Steam numbers! The title shouldn't run too badly on consoles either.
The champagne corks are probably popping at NetEase at the moment. Of course, it is now important to retain the majority of users. At the time of writing, there are still over 200,000 players online.
The very fair free-to-play system could definitely ensure a long life for Marvel Rivals. The Battle Pass in particular stands out because, unlike the competition, it doesn't impose a time limit on you. Even after the end of a season, you still have the chance to finish it at your leisure. In addition, all items available for real money are purely cosmetic in nature; pay-to-win does not seem to be an issue with Marvel Rivals.
