News - Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Update 1 is here, just in time for release

Some are already busy playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle thanks to early access. Today is actually the release and MachineGames has released a patch just in time.

Starting today, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is finally in full swing. After an early access phase lasting several days for those who pre-ordered certain editions, the game is now available to everyone. A first update has now been published just in time for the release. The same brings, among other things, full ray tracing aka path tracing into play. Furthermore, a number of bug fixes, optimizations and revisions were brought into the game. It also confirms that AMD FSR will be brought into the game in a later patch.

Here are the patch notes for Update 1 for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in detail:

New features

  • Added support for Full Ray Tracing (Path Tracing) for all eligible NVIDIA graphics cards. To use this feature, at least 12 GB VRAM is required. AMD FSR support is in the works and will be part of a future update.

Generally

  • Fixed a bug that could cause rare crashes when saving the game.

  • Fixed a bug that could result in a temporary loss of access to pre-order/premium edition outfits.

  • Photos accessed via the diary now appear faster.

Gameplay

  • Fixed an incorrect animation that could occur when immediately putting on the breathing apparatus after jumping into the water.

  • Fixed a bug that temporarily prevented interaction with objects after attempting to stab an enemy with the revolver while stamina was depleted.

  • Fixed a bug that made blocking impossible when looking at a pickable object.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented changing disguises when exiting the village in Sukhothai using the fast travel signpost.

  • Fixed several locations where the whip could unexpectedly disengage while swinging.

  • Fixed an issue with Indy's legs that could occur when swinging across the gap in the bridge in Nepal.

  • Fixed a bug that could result in unsuspecting enemies when loading a checkpoint that is in close proximity to guards at the entrance to a restricted zone.

  • Fixed a bug that could prevent Gina from appearing on your docked boat.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause a shaking camera when killed by scorpions at the end of the Giza level.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the first shot of a picked up weapon to be silent.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause enemies to have delayed reactions after being stolen from.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause a broken animation when restarting a checkpoint after using a zip line while saving.

  • Fixed a bug that could render the whip unusable when loading a save if the whip was cracked while saving that save.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause players to remain in the “Lucky Hat” state.

UI

  • The “Reset” item has been added to the options menu.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause an incorrect item to be displayed after quickly going through the Quick Equip menu.

  • Added an explanation of the blue “Replay” suitcase icon on the game guide card.

  • Possible overlaps between place titles and the names of photogenic locations have been eliminated.

  • Fixed occasional flickering when listing contributors.

  • After unlocking a new adventure book, the list of adventure books is now updated immediately.

Chart

  • Fixed a bug that caused equipped bottles to appear excessively blurry while moving.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause Indy's right arm to appear bruised in a sleeveless outfit.

  • Fixed occasional stuttering in cutscenes.

  • Indy's belt-mounted whip now behaves in a more natural way.

  • Fixed a bug that could prevent players from progressing if Giuseppe's key was dropped instead of pocketed in A Dire Dilemma.

  • Fixed a rare bug that prevented Gina from finding a way to the open door after the fire trap in the Fire Chamber Silver Trial mission in the Vatican.

  • Fixed a rare bug that caused Gina to get stuck or unable to operate levers on her way to an elevator at Wat Si Sawai in Sukhothai.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented Gina from helping to open the game room door in the Sukhothai Ziggurat.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented Gina from climbing cooperatively or independently after a fight.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause parts of the Vatican fountain puzzle to move slowly, making it impossible to solve after a long pause.

  • Fixed a bug that could permanently prevent completion of the Vatican quest objective “Finish the Golden Key” in the Journal.

  • Fixed a bug that could make it impossible to collect all the gold if you died immediately after opening the safe in the Sukhothai Headquarters.

  • Fixed a bug that would lock gates in the caves if a checkpoint was restarted when invading the Nazi camp in Giza.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented picking up an important book in Voss' office in the Giza Nazi camp.

  • Fixed a bug that could force Antonio or Ventura into a crouching position in Antonio's Vatican office.

PC specific bug fixes

  • Performance has been improved in larger levels when using graphics cards with 8 GB VRAM.

  • Fixed a bug that could prevent the inventory from opening on Alt-Tab.

  • Ensured the correct operation of the Undo option when changing the video mode.

  • Fixed flickering of torch or lighter flame when playing at high refresh rate.

  • Fixed incorrect rendering of sand or torch effects in Peru level on AMD graphics cards.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause a moiré effect on bare white walls when both HDR and DLSS were enabled.

  • Fixed a bug that could produce black artifacts in Indy's eyes during cutscenes in the cave in Peru.

  • Fixed a bug that periodically produced black squares on the screen when rendering scaling at certain resolutions on AMD graphics cards.

  • Ensured that photos from Steam cloud save can be exported correctly when switching to Xbox cloud save.
