Monster Hunter Wilds is set to cause a sensation in February 2025. It was already known in advance which key technical data should be achieved on the various platforms.
The Monster Hunter series has become a real heavyweight in the industry and is extremely popular. Accordingly, there is great interest in the upcoming new part Monster Hunter Wilds, which will be available at the end of February 2025. But what key technical data are achieved on the various supported platforms? And will the game also be optimized for the new PS5 Pro? The developers have now commented on this.
These key data are of course particularly interesting for Xbox players, after all, the Xbox Series S is significantly less powerful. The Series S therefore achieves full HD image output in 1080p at 30 fps. On the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, performance depends on which mode you choose.
There is a graphics mode and a frame rate mode on both platforms. If you place more value on image quality, you can achieve a 4K image output in graphics mode, which is based on a rendering with 3072 x 1728 pixels; in return you have to be content with a frame rate of 30 fps.
The performance aka frame rate mode, on the other hand, also comes with a 4K image output, but this only uses full HD rendering with 1920 x 1080 pixels as a basis. You can expect 60 frames per second here. On the PC via Steam, the specific performance and quality of course depends on the respective PC hardware.
And what about the PS5 Pro? Capcom has not yet confirmed the exact technical key data on the more powerful Sony console, but at least confirms via social media that Monster Hunter Wilds will be PS5 Pro Enhanced when released via patch. Further details on the exact design of the key technical data on the new Sony console will only follow at a later date.
We are happy to confirm that PS5 Pro Enhanced support will be added to Monster Hunter Wilds via a day 1 patch. We'll share more details on how the graphics will be enhanced on PS5 Pro at a later date.
