The British Studio Rare was once considered a guarantee of great games, today it is still a shadow of himself. However, many fans put great hopes in Everwild, but the project seems to be in a development lime for some time.
In a fresh interview in the "Xbox era" podcast, Phil Spencer is now reporting with an updateto say. The head of Microsoft's Xbox division had neither concrete details nor a possible release period ready, but at least we now know that Everwild is still under development.
So good news, especially since Spencer continues: Rare's project is making good progress. Spencer also states that Everwild is one of the most expected projects from Xbox at all. So you are well aware of Microsoft, as the fans are on the title.
This is definitely good, because we remember: The Redmonder Giga Group bought Rare in 2002. For many fans, this marked the beginning of the end of the development studio, mainly loveless spin-offs and kinect titles came, but the old and popular brands such as Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie were sure to go all earthly.
The previous development history of Everwild also ensures some skepticism. The title has already been announced over six years ago and since then it has become largely quiet from the official. In 2021, there were even reports that the development was completely restarted. It remains to be seen whether and when we can actually expect the first big new rare brand since Sea of Thieves.
