News - Elden Ring Nightreign: Registration for network testing starts today, but with a catch

As is known, a closed network test for the spin-off Elden Ring Nightreign will take place in February 2025. If you're interested in taking part, you can register for the test phase now. However, there is a big catch.

Then fans were amazed when From Software announced a new spin-off to Elden Ring at the Game Awards 2024. However, Nightreign will do everything a little differently than the main game. The title focuses on co-op and features elements from roguelikes and battle royales.

If this whole combination makes you nervous and you don't know what to think about it, then the network test in February is just the right time. This onefrom today, January 10, 2025, registrations are open. However, please note that you are not guaranteed participation. You're just throwing your name into a lottery pot.

First of all, you must be at least 16 years old. This probably isn't a problem for most people, but the next limitation is more critical.

Because the network test for Elden Ring Nightreign does not take place on all release systems. Only people who play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are allowed to take part. PC gamers are just as upset as last-gen enjoyers. So we can only hope that a second network test will take place on multiple platforms.

There is currently no specific release date for the final game. We're just hoping that Elden Ring Nightreign lands on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in 2025.
