Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will soon also be released for the PC - and now Square Enix has shed more light on the specific features on this platform.
On January 23, 2025, the wait for Final Fantasy fans on the PC will be over, because then Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be available for this platform, after the title was previously reserved for the PlayStation 5. Square Enix is optimizing the latest series specifically for the PC and adding some platform-specific features, which have now been discussed in more detail.
Shortly after the announcement of the final system requirements for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the PC, there is now a little more clarity in this regard. Provided you have the appropriate hardware, the role-playing game will run at up to 4K and 120 fps on the PC. Square Enix also promises improved lighting and generally improved graphics - without going into any further detail.
To allow players to easily adapt the title to their hardware setup, there will be three graphical presets: low, medium and high. There will also be an option to influence the number of NPCs on the screen to better control CPU usage.
And otherwise? The PC-specific features of course include support for mouse and keyboard as a control option, but the DualSense controller on the home computer is also supported as an option. Technically, Square Enix also uses NVIDIA's upscaling solution DLSS.
To underline and demonstrate the whole thing, there is also a fresh PC trailer, which you can watch below. In the context of DLSS, it should be noted that AMD's upscaling in the form of FSR is not mentioned.
On the PC, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth receives some platform-specific features.
