The role-playing epic Baldur's Gate III now also on mobile platforms? Rather not! The version that appeared is a fake!
Baldur's Gate III is one of the biggest and most successful role-playing games of recent years - and now the title from Larian Studios has probably also appeared as a mobile version in the App Store. The catch: It is a fake, which should be treated with extreme caution and should not be installed.
Larian Studios never announced or released a mobile version of their hit. Baldur's Gate III, which is currently downloadable for iOS, is a scam that even seems quite realistic. Reason: Modified screenshots of the original game with a fake mobile HUD overlay are used for the entry in the App Store.
However, neither Dungeons & Dragons nor developer Larian Studios are mentioned in the description in any way. Instead, Dmytro Turuk is listed as the developer for "Baldur's Gate 3 - Mobile Turuk".
The fake should be viewed with caution for several reasons, apart from the fact that it is not the original and a scam: Although the download is initially free, the supposedly complete gaming pleasure has to be purchased via in-app for just under 35 euros be unlocked; This is only a monthly playing time.
The user conditions also apparently allow the use of the players' data. The IP addresses and potentially other user data are recorded.
