As nice as it is to play on the console or PC, every gaming session comes to an end at some point. But what then?
This doesn't mean how to pass the time without playing video games, but rather how to use the gaming hardware when it's not in use.
There are now interesting statements from Sony on this topic regarding the PlayStation.
SeaXatakaThey even surprised the PlayStation makers themselves.
Also interesting:
Essentially, Sony's statements revolve around the following two options:
Either you switch off the console completely. Or you can put it into sleep mode.
If you would like to let us know immediately how you handle this, you can go to:this link directly to the relevant survey in the article.
What numbers are we talking about?
- Like Sony in oneInterview mit GameFileannounced that there is a dichotomy of PlayStation users when it comes to handling the console after playing.
- So one half puts the console into sleep mode, while the other half turns it off completely.
- Gory Gasaway from Sony was surprised by this. Like us, he would have expected the majority to put the console into sleep mode rather than turning it off completely.
The sleep mode on the PlayStation 5 allows, among other things, to continue games exactly where you left them off after waking up and to download updates automatically in the background so that you don't have to worry about them the next time you wake up.
In contrast to a console that is completely switched off, it consumes power, albeit only in the single-digit watt range.
How does it look for you?
The question we now have is how you handle your gaming hardware after playing, both in terms of consoles and PCs.
