Govee vs. Philips Hue - what is better?
When it comes to smart light, it is almost always about Philips Hue - the market leader in the area of smart home lighting. But how good are the alternatives now andAre the high prices for LED strips and light bulbs from Hue still worthwhile? My colleague Mirco has dealt extensively with Lamps and lights from Govee:
RGBIC, RGBW, CCT - what does that mean?
The Govee floor lamps are called "RGBICW" and with other LED strips and lights there are similar names as RGBW or CCT, but butWhat do these abbreviations actually stand for?
"RGB" is still familiar to most and stands for "Red, Green, Blue"- LEDs that can shine in color. The whole thing becomes one"RGBW"Advanced, then a white LED is also installed and the illuminant can create more natural, white light.
“IC” stands for “individualally controllable” for LEDs- So the possibility of luminating individual areas or LEDs differently than others. Comparable LED lighting systems arealso meant by "ARGB" (= "addressable RGB").
The last abbreviation in the group is "CCT" and stands for "Correlated Color Temperature".This means lamps that are extraFor warm white and cold white light of your own LEDshave installed between which you can mix freely. There are also LED strips for RGBCCT. Who knows, maybe RGBcctic LEDs will be added soon? Then the term "abbreviation" slowly but surely loses its meaning.
