The audience is invited to draw a twisted pleasure from it, watching how a heroic main actor is beaten up in an inventive way. Novocaine is not as good as these films. By the way, Jack Quaid is the son of actors Dennis Quaid (The Day after Tomorrow, The Substance) and Meg Ryan (Harry and Sally, sleepless in Seattle). In 2023 he even played in the award -winning film Oppenheimer, where he embodied the American physicist Richard Feynman.
