Steven Spielberg's very first Jurassic Park film is celebrating its 32nd birthday this year. But of course the world has moved on in the last three decades and science is now a lot smarter, regarding the appearance of dinosaurs.

Spielberg's dinosaur interpretation corresponds - according to current knowledge -not reality.A video is now supposed to show us what some iconic film scenes with the “real” dinosaurs look like.

What exactly has science discovered?

The most important findings:It was long thought that dinosaurs were related to reptiles. This theory was debunked many years ago. Analysis of dinosaur tissue and comparison with living species revealed the following: Chickens are much more similar to Tyrannosaurus. The two species share similarities in the structure of their bone structure.

The dinosaurs' plumage, which has also been proven, ensured heat balance - again a similarity to our feathered friends. If you would like to know more about it:In 2021, we spoke to, among others, a paleontologist, an expert on extinct animal species. The expert explained to us about popular misconceptions and the different depictions of dinosaurs.
