Nintendo Switch 2: With VRR support or not? Changes on websites cause confusion

On some local websites of Nintendo, the mention of VRR (variable refresh rate) has disappeared as the feature of the Nintendo Switch 2.

The company had previously announced that the Switch 2 supports VRR in addition to 4K and up to 120 FPS.

Just a mistake?

Digital Foundrys Oliver Mackenzie isnotedthat the mention of VRR has disappeared on certain Nintendo sites.

This applies, for example, to the Canadian, American and Japanese version of the Nintendo website. On the other hand, VRR is still mentioned on the German side, as well as on other European pages of the company.

It is currently unclear whether it is a mistake or whether Nintendo is currently to remove VRR from all sides.

More flexibility

VRR enables supported televisions to display unconventional image rates and thus achieve a more fluid experience. As a result, games with unlimited frame rate in demanding areas offer more flexibility in performance.

Meanwhile, a new video had shown how.

In addition, Nintendo had one. In addition, the controllers of the new Nintendo console have, which, according to the company, represents the better option.

The Nintendo Switch 2 will be released on June 5, 2025 and costs 470 euros.
