"Tots" stands for "Team of the Season" - in German "Team of the season" - and Toty stands for "Team of the Year" - the "team of the year". Both events revolve around the best players, but in two different periods and areas of action. The Toty refers to the best players in the world in a calendar year (January 1 to December 31) and the dead refers to the best players of a national league in the course of a season (usually late summer / autumn to early summer).

In addition, the number of published teams and special cards in Ultimate Team differ greatly from each other.
