Bethesda has a new trailer todayCycle out. And because we now know everything about the bloody nature of the game, weapons and the gameplay, the publisher provides us with a little story this time. However, the video is not a pure story trailer, because the frame story is quickly presented and is replaced by a booming sequence with hard music and smooth demon destruction. Without bloodshed, nobody goes out of the trailer here!
How much story is in doom: The Dark Ages?
In Doom: The Dark Ages, developer ID Software wants to put a stronger focus on the story - after all, the title is a single game title. In terms of time, we are here in the plot between Doom 64 and the Doom Reboot from 2016. In Doom 64, the protagonist decides to sacrifice himself and stay in hell so that no more demons flow into our world.
If we look at Doom from 2016, we start on Mars, the protagonist is now called Slayer. He breaks out of a coffin and starts to head off demons. So what events have led to this scenario? Why is the slayer no longer in hell, what does it do in a coffin, why the Mars, what is the meaning of life? So many questions. The trailer does not answer them. That's a good thing, otherwise the video would spoil everything.
In the video description, Bethesda says: "Doom: The Dark Ages, developed by ID Software, is the Prequel one of the celebrated doom (2016) and Doom Eternal and tells an epic, film -ready story that is worthy of the legend of the Doom Slayer."
"In the third part of the modern Doom series, players slip into the blood-stained boots of the Doom Slayer and experience an unprecedented, dark and dark medieval war against hell."
Doom: The Dark Ages will be released on May 15, 2025 for PC, Xbox Series or PlayStation 5. You can already pre -order the title.
