Microsoft announced a new edition of the Xbox Developer Direct a few days ago. Daroin presents some upcoming games for Xbox and PC in more detail.
Most of the event's lineup has already been revealed. So will, among other things,andhave an appearance. In addition, a mysterious fourth title will also be shown, which is reportedly a completely new announcement.
Now, of course, people are wondering what kind of game this could be.A new oneReport from WindowsCentralnow limits the options at least somewhat. As author Jez Corden writes in the article, the title is, according to his sources
"a new entry in an iconic Japanese IP that has a decades-long history and that will make many fans happy."
Final Fantasy? Resident Evil? Ninja Gaiden?
Corden doesn't get any more specific, which is why there is now a lot of speculation. Could it possibly be an Xbox implementation of theact that there have already been rumors about recently? That would at least fit with the “decades-long story”, but less with “new entry”.
Alsoand a new oneare being traded, and there are certainly a few possible candidates. However, it should of course be noted that although Jez Corden is considered a reasonably reliable source, it is of course not necessarily the case that his unannounced title is actually a new part of a Japanese IP.
Until we know which title is really meant, we will have to wait until the Xbox Developer Direct, for better or worse. The event takes place onJanuary 23, 2025 at 7:00 p.mGerman time.
