Phil Spencer continues to believe in console hardware

When asked why someone should buy an Xbox, Spencer replies:
“I want people to buy the hardware devices that offer them the most options. And that the devices fit where they want to play. I want our hardware to win based on the possibilities it offers. ”

“I think our own hardware is fundamental with regard to what Xbox is actually. I have never forgotten that and I say it again and again: Box is on behalf of our brand. In the position in which I am in, I say that my own hardware is a critical part of what we do. ”
Spencer continues to see "Xbox" as a pure software product, but repeats its intentions to continue building hardware. Only they should not be a means of excluding players of certain titles.

Spencer sees innovative hardware as a core element to bring players to the Xbox - they should provide a better experience than on all other platforms.
