The second season of the HBO series implementation ofComes closer to big steps. On April 13, Season two starts in the USA at HBO Max, a day later it should also start in Germany.

In a conversation withVarietyNeil Druckmann spoke about the creation of the games, the series and of course the second season. He also reveals that Eugene Linden, whom players know from The Last of Us Part 2, will play a role.
Eugene cannot really be seen as a character in the games. Instead, Dina Ellie tells a few details about him after the two are looking for shelter in his personal hiding place. There are a few photos in the game that show the man.
Eugene is played by the American actor Joe Pantoliano, whom you could possibly know as a Cypher from Matrix or Captain C. Howard from Bad Boys. He also participated in the Sopranos mafia series. He even got an Emmy Award for the representation of Ralphie.
How extensive the role of Eugene is still unclear. Already in the first season, the series with the story of Bill and Frank had taken up an outbalance, which is only indicated in the games, but is never shown.

This is Eugene:Eugene is mentioned several times in The Last of Us Part 2. He was with Joel's brother Tommy with the Fireflies and built a close friendship with Dina in Jackson.
The two were often together on patrols, where Eugene served as a mentor and, for example, taught Dina how they repaired electronic devices.
He has set up a small shelter in an old library in which Ellie and Dina are looking for shelter when they are surprised by a blizzard. Eugene died a natural death at 73, which is a rarity in The Last of Us's post -apocalypse.
