One of the best survival horror games is soon leaving PS Plus - play it now!

Wherever Leon S. Kennedy is, Ada Wong isn't far either.

With the PS Plus Extra/Premium subscription you shouldn't run out of games so quickly, after all you have access to an extensive library with a wide variety of bonus titles. This is even regularly supplemented with additional games, but others are leaving the service - as they did again in January.

11 games are leaving PS Plus at once and we would like to particularly recommend one survival horror hit to you. You should now have enough time to play through it.

Now play quickly with PS Plus before it's gone

  • Spiel:Resident Evil 2 Remake
  • still in PS Plus included until:expected Tuesday, January 21st

With theCapcom has impressively demonstrated how wonderfully a survival horror classic from the 90s can work in a modern guise. The new edition captures the charm of the original while bringing contemporary graphics, more shoulder-mounted action and lots of gore.

If you haven't played the remake from 2019 yet, you should definitely grab it now. But the replay value is also high, not least because of the slightly varied A and B scenarios and the option of either slipping into the police rookie boots of Leon S. Kennedy or playing Claire Redfield.

It should take you between 9 to 12 hours to play through the game. The title isn't included in our subjective ranking of the best horror games, but that's only because we limited ourselves to one game per series and another version was very, very narrowly ahead. Can you guess which one?

That's what Resident Evil 2 is all about

Leon S. Kennedy is actually supposed to celebrate his debut as a police officer, but the greeting isn't quite as warm as expected: Racoon City just happens to be overrun by zombies. At the same time, Claire Redfield is in the midst of the chaos looking for her brother Chris - well known from the first part of the series.

The two not only have to deal with "ordinary" angry undead, but also with the menacing Mister X, who stalks the two loudly. Depending on the level of difficulty, it is important to be careful with ammunition and healing herbs. And in between, of course, a meeting with the mysterious Ada Wong shouldn't be missed.

In colleague Dennis' test, the game scored a 90:

The remake is also very popular with international critics. OnMetacriticthe title was able to secure an average of 91.
