But this player didn't know all of this:He discovered the game in a Gamestop branch and remembered vaguely that he had heard of it and that he had put Quantum Error on his wish list at some point. So he bought the downturned title - and then regretted it.

If he had read reviewsOr at least a short look at review aggregator pages such as Openritic orMetacriticThrown, he would have been spared the trouble. Most critics do not leave a good hair of quantum error.
