The time has finally come next week and the hardcore mode is moving into. Now Henry will really learn what it means to suffer. And we too.
Medieval pain
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a resounding success for the Warhorse Studios, who have promised long-term support before the release. Part of this is the hardcore mode that many players could get to know and love in the first part and now want to see again in the second game.
It was not included for the release, but should still come in the driving ring and now it isnext weekFinally that time. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is already a very tough RPG survival game. Not washed too long? You stink and people avoid you. Don't sand your weapon for a long time? It is blunt and causes less damage.
Basically, what Henry cannot do, you will have to teach him slowly and tediously and take care of his everyday, human needs. Or you learn with Henry. Brewing an alchemist's drink for the first time is challenging, but the more you do it, the better Henry and the more experienced are you.
Frohlocket, your masochist
But if that is not enough, you can add a shovel in hardcore mode and really be stamped on the ground. The already enormous level of immersion that Warhorse Studios delivers can be reinforced here again.
The highlight of the hardcore mode are probably the negative “buffs”. These give a special weakness. Or several. This time there will be ten of these perks. So “sweaty” should ensure that you stink even faster and nobody wants to talk to you anymore. So regular visits to the bathing house will be the order of the day.
“Hangry Henry” also sounds wonderful, since both charisma, language skills and intimidation are reduced when you are hungry. In addition, food is less fed up and you digest 50% faster. “Numbskull”, on the other hand, looks like an annoying challenge, as it gains 20% fewer experience points.
It is not yet clear whether more of these perks will come in the future. But the ten that have existed so far seem to promise a lot of fun and agony. Do you already know which perk you want to start next week?
