The Power Rangers are given a new live action series, but which only appears on a streaming service

The Power Rangers return to the screen - but only at Disney Plus.

Hasbro and Disney let a troop of famous superhero go on bad guys and monsters in a new form: the Power Rangers are back. HowTheWrapreports, a series is under development. It will be shown exclusively on the Disney Plus streaming service.

A superhero festival for old and new fans

The teenager quintet with transparencies and technology gimmicks should start in the new live action series at zero and do not build on works that have already been published. According to Thewrap, Hasbro and Disney also want to reach old fans. But it is explicitly about luring new viewers who have never heard of the original.

For the roles as a show runner and producer as well as script authors, Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz are currently talking to Disney and 20th Century TV.

It is still unknown when the Power Rangers should celebrate at Disney Plus. Since its beginning in 1993 (USA), almost 1,000 episodes and three films have been distributed over 30 seasons.
