Pokémon TCG Pocket: This is the best ex-starter deck for you-and that's why you should still wait with the choice

You are spoiled for choice.

The new A2B booster pack "Glossy Festival" (Shining Revelry) is fresh forappeared. After there was already a starting deck for the release of the collective card game, nine other decks are now available, all of which rely on ex-Pokémon. However, you can only choose one of them as part of new missions.

So you will receive an ex-starter deck in TCG Pocket for free

What do I have to do to get a deck? You don't just get the ex-start deck. You have to complete one of the new ex-start deck missions that you can find under missions> Ex-Startdeck. If you have done one of the missions, you can choose a deck.

So you will solve your reward:To get one of the nine ex-start deck, you have to redeem the deck ticket in the shop. There you can then choose which deck you want under "limited time/events". But keep in mind: You can only get one of the nine deck in total. So think carefully about which you choose.

  • How long does this action apply?From March 28th at 7:00 a.m. to April 27 6:59 a.m.

All ex-start decks and which of them are best

If you not only want to complete your collection, but also tap strong ex-cards for the fights, we recommend GLURAK-EX, SUELORD-EX or Girantina-EX:

  • Glurak-Ex (fire):Let yourself be put on 3 fire energy cards in one go through gluraks. Thanks to Magbrant, there is also a Pokémon with a lot of KP in the deck, which with its "smoke bomb" can at the same time distribute damage and hinder opposing attacks.
  • Paldea-Suelord-ex (Finsternis):The Paldea Suelord relies on poison. If the opponent is poisoned, it does not share 60, but 120 damage with 2 energies. Affiti has a supporting effect, the opponent poisoned in the successful coin hem.
  • Girantina-ex (Psycho):With the "Clever" ability you can create a psycho-energy to Girantina per train (which you should only do at the end of the train, since it ends). Simsala, on the other hand, also attacks all Pokémon on the bench, which have created at least one energy.

If you already have the three ex-Pokémon, but do not yet have a maskagato, the Bibor-Ex-deck would be the next choice:

  • BIBOR-EX (Pflanze):Bibor disturbs the opponents' attacks, while Maskagato, in addition to 60 damage to ex-Pokémon, also distributes 70 damage again, i.e. 130 in one fell swoop with only 2 energies.

If the decks are out of the question for all of you, you can snap one of the other:

  • Pikachu -x (Elektro):Pikachu has to put all the energies for "Donnerblitz", but also divides 150 damage and can make so many strong Pokémon flat. In order to obtain a lead here, Pachirisus Attack Pikachu can be supplied with energy on the bench and prepared.
  • Lucario-ex (Kampf):The advantage of Lucario Ex is not only the high damage of 100, but also that the attack attacks an opposing Pokémon on the bench and adds 30 damage. Machomei, on the other hand, can quickly harm 70, and even distribute 120 damage with further energy.
  • Bidifas-Ex (colorless):Can hand out 100 damage with 4 energy cards and heal 30 kp at the same time. Thanks to Knuddeluff, it is also possible to regenerate 20 kp of the active Pokémon per train, whereas the trainer card Pokémon Center-Dame heals another 30 kp and all status effects.
  • Schligdri-Ex (water):Schligdrig-Ex adds 50 damage three times a random Pokémon of the opponent, which can be better or worse depending on the choice. At 120 KP, Heerashai is a very tough basic Pokémon.
  • Granforgita-ex (Metall):With 170 KP and an 80s attack, Granforgita is already a strong card. If we are lucky and the coin tunnel succeeds, we can even hand out 80 damage. Monetigo also relies on minting happiness.

Better to wait with the choice of your starting decks

Even if you have already received the deck ticket and know which deck you want, you shouldn't go to the shop immediately and choose your deck. Since you have the opportunity to redeem the ticket by April 27, you have a lot of time to collect cards through booster packs and events.

So it may be that your actually selected deck will bring you less than it is now and another deck would be the better choice. But set a memory in your smartphone for safety, so that you don't forget it and then stand without a deck.

Which ex-starter deck will you choose and why?
